I’m a recent UChicago graduate and early-career journalist doing all kinds of stuff. Check out the site menu to filter my articles by subject, or just scroll through the list.
I studied English Language and Literature at the University of Chicago, where I concentrated on modern literature and the way we talk about what’s going on in the world through literature. I pursued a BA final project on Kaveh Akbar’s Martyr! and internet language, and I’m interested especially in the lyric essay — stay tuned for more on that.
At UChicago, I also worked as a news editor for the Chicago Maroon, our student newspaper, most notably during the spring 2024 Palestine encampment. I was also the first newsletter editor, turning it from a chore for the managing editor to an independent editor position with staff writers.
Most recently, I interned with the Chicago Tribune, where I covered health and emerging news. I’m looking forward to my next opportunity!
